The Ministry of Ordinary Places

When I was younger, I used to dread the thought of having an ordinary life. The older I get, the more I am content to settle into an ordinary life, knowing that there is extreme beauty in the ordinary. God can move in powerful ways in the ordinary.

Shannon Martin is a popular blogger, but because I'm not on social media, I don't follow her and wasn't aware this book was coming out. In this book, Martin offers Christians a starting point for a more meaningful life: learn what it is to love and be loved right where God has placed you. That's not always an easy thing to embrace when we see the exciting lives of other people on social media and crave different things. For someone who is embracing her ordinary life, this is a book that will meet you in an unique way.
