The Mission Walker: A Book Review

The Mission Walker by Edie Littlefield Sundby

This book is the autobiography of Edie Littlefield Sundby. She was told she only had three months to live, but miraciously survived 79 rounds of chemotherapy, radical liver and lung surgeries and then walked eight hundred miles along the California Mission Trail with only one lung. I have two lungs, have never faced cancer, and can't even do two laps around the mall without my feet hurting.

Fighting against her body, Edie walked and chatted with God as she took in His creation. This book isn't just about her defying the odds to even be able to walk along the Trail, but also about her time on the Trail, her time with God and her courageous approach to living.

What I thought: I liked this book, and I liked Edie's enthusiasm. I loved how she clinged to her faith in God so deeply through all life threw at her. She is an inspiration!
