Book Review: Chasing Slow

Chasing Slow by Erin Loechner // This book is just really, really pretty in person. It's square, and the pages are two-column and have pictures or random notes/facts in the margins (like ways Erin has failed that day, miscellaneous things). I hadn't followed Erin's blog or her HGTV. com show, and so I didn't have much background knowledge about her story before picking up the book. What drew me in was the synopsis: "In Chasing Slow, Erin turns away form the fast and fame and frenzy. Follow along as she blazes the trail toward a new-fashioned lifestyle - one that will refresh your perspective, renew your priorities and shift your focus to the journey that matters most." Erin's writing style was very unique and not super Christian-y, which was a refreshing change from other Christian living books I've read. I walked away from this book feeling like Erin could be my new best friend. And to say that reading this book the same week that I read What Falls from the Sky (review below) was great timing. I give this book my full recommendation.
